David Zasitko and Gary Leighton continued their outstanding performace from
the first championship round. Also remarkable is, that the hunt for the
fastest time in the Semi-Pro qualifying was even clsoser than in the Ace
series. Team AP's Matthew Garrett missed the chance to rob S.RS valuable
qualifying points only by a few thousandths of a second.

The second Semi-Pro race of the season saw Gary Leigthon in the lead right
from the start. He was chased by Matthew Garrett, and for a short time,
Matthew was in the lead when Gary came in for his stop. Matthew lost the
position again when he changed tyres a few laps later. Almost the whole
race, the man on third was Gavin McLean, but he lost ground in the last
laps of the race, and the two Mopar drivers behind him, Giacomo
Licciardello and Ron Vance, came nearer. They finally overtook Gavin in lap
34 and 35, finishing just in front of him.
At the front, Gary was able to keep Matthew behind, although the Team AP
driver drove the fastest lap of the race. The gap to third place was quite
impressive, considering that the race went over 36 laps.
